Jurisdictional Dispute

Outcome: Case against client dismissed.

Description: Represented a businesswoman in Alaska who was sued in Washington by a company that had contracted to provide all the building materials necessary to construct luxury townhomes at the base of Alyeska Ski Resort. Successfully convinced the judge that the case had to be dismissed because of a contractual provision that called for all such disputes to be litigated in Anchorage, Alaska. Also received an award of all attorney's fees and expenses.
