Regarding ROBERT H. JIMERSON, PUBLIC DEFENDER, Tumwater, WA - If he has been assigned to your case YOU SHOULD BE AFRAID!! Perhaps you should ask yourself, 'How can he practice law for 16 years and yet not have a single positive review?'

The reputation he has with those he defends is:
a) YOU'VE GOT THE WORST OF THE WORST!
b) He won't do anything on your case.
c) It's up to you to do research in the law library and tell Jimerson what he needs to do.
d) They refer to him as a 'truck' because he's slow moving.
e) He is INCOMPETENT!

I have firsthand knowledge of THIS FARCE OF AN ATTORNEY!! He was assigned to defend a young man I knew who had worked for me PT for some years maintaining my rural property. I learned he was in the US illegally and was in the process of trying to sponsor him. After my friend, Mr. C, heard what everyone else was saying about his public defender he started doing his own research in the law library.

After being detained for months his attorney met with Mr. C... but only for 5 MINUTES! My friend gave Jimerson the names of several people who could testify on his behalf and who had documents critical for his defense. Jimerson told him he'd have a private investigator look into it BUT SADLY JIMERSON DID NOTHING! The witnesses weren't contacted and the urgently needed documents weren't acquired. ISN'T THAT PATHETIC!!

Months passed and nothing more was heard from Jimerson. My friend was extremely concerned because he faced deportation. Yes, he is married to an American woman and they had a child almost school age, but that was no guarantee that he could remain in the US.

Then they went to court. My friend told the judge they weren't prepared at all and explained how little had been done on his case. THE JUDGE VERBALLY CHASTISED JIMERSON and scheduled another court date some months in the future. So after being chewed out, what did Jimerson do? He waited months until 2 days before going to court the 2nd time and went to see my friend, this time for a token 10 minutes!! Once again there was NO PREPARATION and my friend was extremely worried.

In the meantime I called a local attorney and was told Mr. C's attorney should have provided Mr. C with a list of witnesses at least 30 days in advance so he'd know all the pertinent people would be called in his defense...BUT JIMERSON DIDN'T DO IT AT ALL.

KNOW THIS ~ ROBERT H. JIMERSON IS A PROFOUNDLY POOR EXCUSE FOR AN ATTORNEY! He's exceedingly overweight, his clothes look shabby on him with tears in his suit and wrinkles galore and his appearance accurately reflects the caliber of attorney he is!

WARNING ~ IF YOU HAVE LEGAL PROBLEMS JUST KNOW, PLAIN AND SIMPLE, THAT JIMERSON WILL PUT FORTH ABSOLUTELY NO EFFORT TOWARDS DEFENDING YOU!!!
