About me

I am a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney working in the office of the Pierce County Prosecuting Attorney.  My duties there have included:


2008-  Present  Felony Appeals and Personal Restraint Petitions (PRPs).  I have filed briefs or responses (PRPs) in over 150 cases, including numerous murder cases as well as many other high level cases.  I have argued before the Washington Supreme Court several times and before the court of appeals many dozens of times.

2006-2008  Lead Meth Lab Prosecutor

2004-2008  Trial Attorney, Drug and Vice Unit.  My total trial experience includes dozens of jury trials.

2004  Superior Court barrel deputy handling high volume arraignments, pleas and sentencing primarily on felony sex, domestic violence, drug and vice crimes. 

2003  Involuntary civil commitment of the mentally ill

2001-2002  Trial Attorney, Midsemeanor Divisoin including, primarily DUI


Prior to joining the office, I worked as a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Judge C. Kenneth Grosse of the Washington State Court of Appeals, Division I.  There I reviewed cases, prepared advisory memos and drafted opinions on appellate cases.
