About Me

Brooke focuses her practice on a wide range of business, tax, nonprofit, and intellectual property issues, and enjoys working with clients to make even the most complicated legal concepts understandable and accessible. She regularly represents clients forming new business entities and nonprofits, seeking trademark and copyright registrations, or looking to structure their operations (or transactions) to minimize both state and federal taxes.

Brooke has a passion for working with local nonprofits to educate both board members and staff on how to achieve and maintain tax-exempt status and to ensure that their operations comply with the law in all respects.

  • Eric Daniel Gilman

Brooke literally wrote the book on Washington business law. That's not a misuse of the word literally. The Washington Practice volume that she authors is actually called "Washington Business Law." When my clients' cases involve business structuring, tax consequences, intellectual property, or complex transactions, Brooke is always on my short list of people to call. We have worked on several matters together and I am continually amazed at just how much Brooke knows off the top of her head. I refer my own friends and family to Brooke because I have absolute confidence in her abilities.
