    I was very suprised to read the previous review of Merv Thompson and wanted to put in my 2 cents. I've used this lawyer for many years. He has successfully litigated a lawsuit and negotiated 2 real estate purchases for me and has given me good advice on a wide variety of issues. I have recommended him to friends who have also been happy with him. He is a terrific lawyer. It's too bad that someone can ANONYMOUSLY trash his good name on the internet.

    We used this lawyer to settle a land dispute and we would have been better off having a wet noodle represent us! He was totally worthless. He talked us into arbitration which was a bad idea. He also did not inform us that the arbitration decision could be contested. He looks the part of a lawyer, but he did a great disservice to us.

      This was a binding arbitration (ruling can't be contested) between parties that strongly disliked each other. The arbitrator found a middle ground - which is often the case. Neither party was happy with the result - which is also often the case. I thought that the result was reasonable. These clients obviously did not.
