    • I do not recommend Peter Camiel.
    • I hired Peter more than 3 years ago.
    • Peter handled my Criminal Defense matter.

In 1991 I was facing several felony charges, Our defense was thee exact same defense proposed by my public pretender and thee same one I came up with in my cell,
they had little to prove a hammer that was used by me was not already at the scene (a construction site) as well as the "victim" and his friend used a 2x4 to take me out hard core so the DA getting me on much there was not going to happen in trial anyway,

the fight started 1 block away at dennys I punched a guy 2 times in the face

2 officers in the confusion wrote this up separately charging me twice for the dennys portion, one 2nd degree assault the other 3rd degree assault, clearly giving us a good argument in a trail that the lesser 3rd degree should stand (we later cleared this up in municipal court which seemed strange I was told over and over in 1991 the 3rd degree assault was not a felony but today it is?! wtf),

so it was charge me with 2 counts of second degree assault 1 with a deadly weapons -----or plea to 1 2nd degree and a 3 rd degree assault and drop the deadly weapons, this by standard range kept me out of prison and in county, any sentence outside standard range can be appealed,

Peter heavily suggested this even though in reality it was not the best deal I could have gotten , with 2 officers marking that same assault at Denny where it all started as 2nd and then 3rd it was a shoe in to go my way at trail to stay 3rd degree,

then the guy I hit with the hammer later across the street as he pursued my aggressively and drunk said in his own words no the guy said (me) "he dint want any trouble" that was a matter of record, it was a shoe in to have that part dropped completely in trial,

What I should have Gotten was a 3rd degree assault for punching the guy in dennys and when his Drunk friends came across the street in pursuit of me all the evidence showed good doubt for weather or not they became illegally aggressive in their citizens arrest of me Hence that entire part would have gotten dropped in my opinion,

so rather than having a 2nd degree assault and a 3rd degree assault on my record I should have just 1 3rd degree but we pleaded upon his heavily persuaded advice for me to do so,

I was 18 scared stiff , listen folks I've had 21 years to think about what I should have and kind of knew then we paid this guy butt tons of $ for nothing more than what we could have gotten with the public pretender. Anyway if you want to go to trial and get your case dropped or reduced as much as possible think twice about using Peter.
ALSO! He acted like he was our buddy, he told me, well your dad is a friend of mine as well as a client , but once my case was over and I called him years later to get information of my ability to own a gun today (I HAVE MY RIGHTS BACK NOW!!) he treated me like I was nothing more than a crack head looking for free legal advice when in fact I had 2 g I was prepared to use for that purpose, nowadays there are many resources for this however he spoke to me very rudely dint want to advise me at all on my rights now and complained about the truck that was running almost 16 years later that my dad used as partial trade to pay for my case , Peter you could not turn a bolt if your life depended on it, you have NO idea what your talking about concerning that truck, and you are RUDE and very full of yourself. You pleaded my case so you would not have to do any work and I had to go on my own to seek counsel concerning my rights, you spoke to me like I was a crack head seeking free legal advice when In fact I've owned several business since 1991 and NEVER re offended, have not had 1 drink in over 20 years and love the lord, but I guess you judge a book by the cover of your own incorrectly projected image of said book. In the name of the great Bart Simpson; Eat My shorts Man. You owe us a refund as far as im concerned. We paid for caviar and got a cheese burger. Jason
