I am a bookkeper and I provide bookkeping services to contractors and other small businesses. I have dealt with a number of lawyers over the years because my clients usually have lawyers and those are the ones I contact when my client or I need help. Many times the problem is with an account receivable that we are having a hard time collecting. So far, I have worked with David on three matters and I havae been very pleaased with the results. David has stayed on top of everything and is easily available.

We were an Oregon contractor looking for a Washington lawyer to help us on a Washington project. We called the BIAW and got David's name. David picked up the phone, got us going in the right direction, and we handled the matter from there (and got paid). David is very direct and we felt he made good use of our time and his. He's helped us twice since then. He's a great resource. He's very fair on his billing and he's very personable as well.

I first met David at a seminar on construction law where he was the speaker. I was impressed that he was genuinely interested in teaching the seminar rather than in promoting himself or his lawfirm. He didn't tell war stories or try to impress any of those attending the seminar. He came across as knowledgeable,sincere and solid. I checked out his firm's website at lulegal.com. and our company started using David for legal assistance. We were happy with the legal firm we were using at the time, but not so happy that we were not willing to give a younger lawyer a chance. We.ve not looked back in two years. David reallly is knowledgeable, sincere and solid. My first impression was right.

Da vid had been our company lawyer since we switched lawyers 2 years ago. The big difference is the practical advice we have received. No cheerleading. David has consistentlly asked the right questions and given us much help in getting paid for our work, and negotiating contracts. He is very low key, modest and very accessible. No more switching for us!
