Mr. Becker was hired to resolve both an encroachment issue and a tort. The encroachment was remedied in a matter of days, and out of court, once Mr. Becker was able to locate the encroaching landowner. The tort claim against the utility company took a few weeks longer but, due to his persuasiveness and experience in dealing with these types of matters, this, too, seems to have been resolved in a very timely and efficient manner - I say “seems to have been resolved” because claim releases have been signed but the utility company still has thirty days to complete their end of deal. I am very pleased with the outcome and expected nothing less. I would certainly work with Mr. Becker again.

HE PROBLEM WAS TYPOS ON MY EAPIS FILING. JC WAS ABLE TO POINT OUT THE "over kill" of fining me $5000 and that US Customs has a THPO in their documents as well. He got the fine reduced to $250. Good Job JC

Last year (2014) I found J.C. via AVVO.
I had a contract with a company for services and had been providing said services to the company for years without any issues. I had a great working relationship with senior management and the CEO. The company changed CEOs and the new CEO decided to terminate the contract under the convenience clause because the company decided they wanted to bring the services I had provided to them in-house.
As I mentioned, I had a great relationship with the previous management, however I did not trust the new management at all and I needed J.C. to review my contract and some other documents and give me an opinion on my position and exposure.
He did so, thoroughly, quickly and his services were very affordable.
I would not hesitate to retain him again.

I was contacted by J.C. Becker through the Avvo "ask a lawyer" program. I had some quick questions that I needed answered that were keeping me up at night (and affecting my ability to get work done in my business).
Within 15 minutes, I not only had the answers to those questions but I was given additional advice that was tremendously helpful (easily worth $150).

J.C. helped me with questions about the enforceability of a non-compete agreement. He responded very quickly (under 3 minutes), was very knowledgeable about relevant WA and King County law and the employers involved. He packed a lot of information and good advice into a 15 minute phone call.

Hiring Mr. Becker was the best decision I could have made. He took time to truly listen to me and then explained my options. He quickly resolved my immediate conflict, giving me back my piece of mind, then advised me how to proceed effectively.

When I emailed JC Becker, I received an immediate phone call from him at 6 in the evening. After 5 minutes on the phone he offered meaningful advice and a plan as to how he would proceed. This accurately describes how he works: efficient, extremely communicative, on your side, results oriented. I was a little worried about the price, but his results speak for themselves and in my case he saved me A LOT of money. Extremely thorough. He achieved results that as I reflect I cannot say others would be likely to achieve. I have already referred him to everyone I know in the area.

We contacted Mr. Becker regarding a commercial lease agreement with a multi-national tenant that we were negotiating with on a site in the Seattle area. He read through the lease and pointed out several areas that were not in our best interests and negotiated with the tenant to either eliminate these sections or modify them. He either met with us or called us to let us know how and why the changes were made and suggested other items to include. He kept us very well informed throughout the process. In the final stages, we were to demolish the existing building and clean up the site, he was able to get the new tenant to include this in their construction of the new building, at no cost to us. This was a real bonus as it would have cost several thousand dollars to remove the building and foundation. He also pointed out some items that were included in the lease that were illegal in this state to the lawyers representing the tenant and had them excluded from the lease. The tenant was under a strict time line and Mr. Becker was very cognizant of this and worked quickly to resolve the issues we had with the tenants' lease. We were very pleased with the results and would highly recommend Mr. Becker.
