Pltf successfully argued that ins policy clause for credit for work comp benefits recd was void and unenforceable. Pltf obtained just under 1.1 million in underinsured motorist benefits at arbitration. Defendant's best offer was 387,500.00. Pltf suffered right ankle injury and developed cellulitis.

Medicare had huge lien and I spent a year appealing medicare lien and got a reduction of approx 50% addl off what medicare usually takes after fees/costs.

Deft had minimum ins, deft charged with crime and disappears. Policy limits divided with husbands 2 adult children from prior marriage. Underinsured motorist claim filed and 250,000.00 policy limits paid for wife and mother's injuries. 250,000.00 limit paid for wrongful death claim. My client and her husband;'s children cant agree on division of the 250k, so go to binding arbitration lasting several days. We obtain award of approx 70% of the funds.

    Client worked for PGE. While working he started up stairs. Railing came off wall at bottom, and bowed out when he grabbed it. He lost balance and fell down a few stairs. Had back surgery.     Client went to ins broker at noon and bought auto ins. That night after finishing work, she went to pkg lot to go home. Car was gone, stolen. It was reported to police and broker was notified the next day. Car was found a few days later, stripped. Client dealt with broker's offc as she didnt have ins policy yet or papers. Ultimately ins co denies claim saying policy wasnt effective until 12:01 am the next day! Suit filed against broker and ins co. Car was worth about 6,000.00.

Only heir was adult daughter who was not dependent upon mother financially.
