Catherine T.S. Gregory

Cate is a University of San Francisco School of Law alum with ten years' experience litigating for both individuals and businesses.  Because she has handled lawsuits from their inception through jury verdict, or through mediation, she understands how lawyers evaluate cases.  Her insider knowledge of the system helps prepare her clients to structure their businesses properly or to approach their problems from a position of power.

As a law student, Cate excelled in the study and practice of Labor and Employment Law.  Her student work at the EEOC and academic excellence in employment-related classes earned her the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.  

As a lawyer, she represented both employers and employees in litigating workplace disputes:  harassment and discrimination, wrongful termination, unfair competition, whistleblower actions, and other wrongs predicated on membership in a protected class.

As a litigator, she saw how emotionally damaging a lawsuit could be for everyone involved, and relished those opportunities to find resolution outside the courtroom.  She brings a courtroom attorney's know-how  and strategy to the art of guiding her clients through difficult workplace problems.   Her experience in litigation allows her to navigate her clients' immediate situation while also positioning them strongly should litigation become necessary.
