Practicing since 2001, Kathryn is the founder of Seaside Family Law Center and is admitted to the California Bar and the United States District Court for the Southern and Central Districts of California. She is also a member of the San Diego County Bar Association and the North County Bar Association.
During law school, she was a judicial extern to Federal District Judge Thomas J. Whelan, served on the "San Diego Law Review," was a contributing editor to the "Journal of Contemporary Legal Issues," and a member of USD's National Moot Court Tax Team. Kathryn went on to clerk for the Honorable Louisa S. Porter in the United States District Court in San Diego, California.
After completing her clerkship, Kathryn practiced complex commercial litigation for several years before joining The Walt Disney Company as Counsel, Legal Affairs, and served on the Board of Directors for International Microcomputer Software, Inc.
Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science degree, in Neuroscience, from the University of California at Los Angeles and her law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law.
On a personal note, Kathryn is divorced. She understands that going through divorce can either be collaborative or difficult and is a deeply emotional experience. Her own experience is the basis of Seaside's focus on the future, on growth, and on new beginings.
