I recommend using Alan Edmunds firm in supporting your efforts in retaining your clearance. Mr. Edmunds supported me in my appeal to a clearance revocation. He built up a binder in support of mitigating all the statement of reasons (SOR) that my clearance was being denied and after review by the adjudication facility of all the facts and submissions I was able to keep my clearance.

I highly recommend Mr. Edmunds and his firm to represent you if you have been denied or currently have a security clearance that is being revoked. I have worked for the DON for 10 yrs and found myself in jeopardy of losing my clearance. I retained Mr. Edmunds and his firm and it was the best decision I have ever made. I also want to say that his legal aide Dennis Smith was very professional and knowledgeable dealing with DODCAF and what they expect when preparing a response to any SOR. Thank You very much.

I would recommend Edmunds Law firm to anyone having security clearance issues. It was nice to have some one fighting on your side. They were experienced and knowledgeable throughout the whole process and I don't think I would have been able to get my clearance reinstated without them.

I contacted Mr. Edmunds law firm after my Security Clearance had been denied. They did the Statement of Response (SOR) for me and 6 months later the government did not accept the SOR and again denied my clearance. During the appeal process Mr. Edmunds appeared with me at the hearing and 8 weeks later the Judge granted me my clearance. I am sure if I had not retained Mr. Edmunds I would have lost my clearance!

Thank's to Alan Edmunds firm I got my security clearance! They were very helpful and professional on my case and with their response to the SOR that was completed in less than 10 days I got my clearance only two weeks after it was submitted! Security Clearance advisor Dennis Smith was great! I would 100% recommend this firm and would not hesitate hiring them for security clearance issues.

I hired the Edmunds Law Firm after receiving the Statement of Reasons for my 2013 security clearance application denial. I had previously applied for a security clearance in 2009 and was denied after not fully responding in a timely manner to the response to interrogatories. In both applications my clearance was denied primarily due to a history of drugs, alcohol and criminal charges from my early adult life. I was hopeless, after submitting the response to interrogatories for my 2013 application and reviewing the long listed statements of reasons, that I would ever obtain a security clearance.
I found Alan Edmunds website via surfing the internet looking for National Security Lawyers and reviewing his testimonials from past clients. On my first telephone conversation with Alan, he hit home with me the whole person concept. That, yes, I may have made a series of mistakes in my 20s when it came to drugs and alcohol, but there is much more to my story than what was on paper. Given my starting point in life, I have come a very long way. He helped me to understand the process from the government’s perspective and for once gave me some hope that someday I could obtain a clearance and be able to fully contribute to my profession and society. He gave me many suggestions to prepare for the appeal that I followed to the best of my ability.
Throughout the process I had regular contact with Alan, his law firm staff, and the legal writer compiling my response to the government. The Edmunds Law Firm staff and legal aides were very clear on what the costs would be for me throughout the process. I had never had a retainer agreement with a law firm, but once explained and I took the time to understand the process it made perfect sense. All things included, from the professionally written SOR response to Attorney Edmunds personal appearance at my trial hearing, was well… well worth the fees I paid for his services. I have hired big name law firms in the past to only get their “new hire” representing me; to have Alan’s personal touch and years of experience here, made a world of difference.
I have no doubt that without Alan Edmunds I would not have won my appeal. In fact, I wish I had hired his firm in 2009 when I was first denied the interim clearance.

I was in a bad situation and was advised to see an attorney. Went to see Mr Edmunds. Seems okay so I decided to use him. He charged me 1500 $ up front. For 1500.00$ I got a list of paperwork I could have gotton myslef for no cost. He then asked me for another 1500.00 $ . I asked what was going to happen and was told he was pursuing an avenue . After 4 years and almost 4500$ I have no real help form Mr Edmunds . This was a security clearance issue. What I did get was another letter asking for more money. Call me niave but I thought he could help me but it seems he is a high risk play .

I hired the Edmunds Law Firm; specifically, Alan Edmunds, to handle my security clearance issue, as the research I conducted on the Internet clearly pointed to him as THE expert in dealing with DoD security clearance matters. Alan, and his staff, did an amazing job handling my case, and representing me during my administrative hearing. I'll be honest -- I was unsure what to expect from Alan, as I hired him telephonically, and physically did not meet him until, literally, one hour prior to my hearing. That being said, Alan was beyond prepared for my case, and represented me flawlessly throughout my legal proceeding, as well as post-proceeding matters. To date, I'm still awaiting the outcome of my case; however, I'm 100% confident I choose the absolute best attorney to represent my particular interests. A big thank you to Alan and his professional staff ... I highly recommend!!

Most of my communication with the law firm was through his legal assistant gathering documents. When I contacted Attorney Edmunds he quickly responded, even on the weekends. Where he shined was where it mattered, in the courtroom. He did an amazing job in court and left me no doubt that he thoroughly read the material I had given him and was extremely familiar with my case.
I haven't received a decision yet, but I left the court room feeling very good.
I highly recommend.

I was rejected for an L-clearance at a major government lab for a past association with alcohol abuse. I was stumped on how to appeal as I was no longer drinking. I contacted Edmunds associates and they gave me a 'blueprint' on how to shape my appeal, answered many questions along the way and wrote my rebuttal to the allegations. Today I have my clearance from DOE and I wouldn't have without their help.
