The #1 Lawyer

Heather Poole is the best, most hardworking lawyer I have ever come across. Despite having many clients, she always managed to stay in touch with me throughout my entire case, making me feel like a priority every step of the way. She always had a positive mindset, which helped keep me calm and hopefu...l during what could have been a very stressful process. Heather was extremely patient, detailed-oriented, and educated; she made sure I understood every stage of the legal procedure and provided comprehensive explanations. Her commitment and knowledge were crucial to my case's successful conclusion. I firmly think that without her leadership and encouragement, I could not have ended up winning. You can tell she truly cares about her clients since she goes above and above for them. For everything Mom done for me, I am incredibly thankful. Heather is the one if you're searching for someone who is not just talented but also kind and dedicated.

highly recommend to anyone needing help with immigration case

I've been working with Heather for over 14 years on my very complicated immigration case. She's amazing! This year, I finally got my green card thanks to her hard work. Heather really knows immigration law, and she always explained things clearly. She was patient and always answered my questions. ...

Good Lawyer

Attorney Heather was very patient and respectful in my case despite the long wait, she was finally able to get my waiver approval and my appointment for the interview. Thanks to her and her team, my case was approved and I have my green card.

I wish I had found her sooner!!

Before finding Ms. Poole I had probably reached out to 3+ lawyers but none of them were willing to take on my case because of the low chance of approval due to a NOID on my green card application. My previous lawyer had unfortunately passed away, therefore I was stuck with having to figure things out... all on my own until I came across Ms.Pooles reviews on AVVO. I reluctantly reached out and prayed for a miracle. To my surprise, she immediately took on the case without hesitation and reassured me that there was still hope. I was on a time crunch and had to send out a response letter to USCIS so she immediate got to work and had the paperwork filed just in time. Although I did not have much evidence in hand to support my VAWA case, she knew exactly what I needed to do in order to have a better chance of approval, and suggested that I take therapy sessions and also seek support from a few friends who I trust from my heart to write me an affidavit. From the moment I started working with her it was apparent how extremely concerned she was of my well-being and took extra precaution to keep me safe from potential threat from my abuser. Once the paperwork was filed the hardest part of it all was the waiting, but after 20 months or so after the filing date my VAWA immigrant visa was approved! 6 months afterwards I was called into an interview with a USCIS officer for my permanent residence approval. Ms. Poole and I had a long phone session prior to the interview date to prepare, answering all my concerns. I am glad that I had asked her to accompany me to the interview, because I was able to spend extra time preparing with her the day of. The strong presence and confidence she brought into the room allowed me to feel secure and calm, it was very reassuring having her next to me during the interview. Before finalizing and signing any paperwork she looked over everything to make sure all the information were accurate. I did not receive an immediate response from the officer but after a month of waiting my green card arrived safely at my doorsteps. It was such a surreal feeling and I still have moments where I feel like I am dreaming! I am so grateful to have found Ms. Poole and trusting her with my future. Her and her team were all very supportive throughout this long process and I couldn’t recommend them more. If you think your case is too difficult, contact her office and I’m certain that she will find a solution for your case! There’s still hope. I wish you all a successful outcome!!

Experienced and Professional Layer

Heather is a very good lawyer. I hired her for my Vawa based green card petition. She was always approachable and reached out immediately whenever she received any communication on my case. The whole process was smooth with assistance from Heather and her staff. I will certainly recommend her for any... family immigration matters.

Avvo Rating

Our Rating is calculated using information the lawyer has included on their profile in addition to the information we collect from state bar associations and other organizations that license legal professionals. Attorneys who claim their profiles and provide Avvo with more information tend to have a higher rating than those who do not.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
