  • Change of custody

    Practice Area:
    Child Custody
    Outcome:
I won both times. The court gave Father custody of his children and admonished Mother for her behavior, and kept the custody with Father three years later.
    Description:
Mother had custody of children but let her boyfriend take over parenting responsibilities. I represented the father in a custody action, trying to get the court to give him custody of the children. We had to go back to court three years later when Mother tried to get custody back.
  • Relocation

    Practice Area:
    Family
    Date:
    Aug 01, 2010
    Outcome:
I won. The court allowed Mother to relocate with the child and did not change custody.
    Description:
Mother got married to a man who lived in another state, and then moved with the parties' child. Father objected to the move and also wanted a change of custody.
  • Child Custody

    Practice Area:
    Child Custody
    Outcome:
I won. Mother was awarded sole custody, with limited parenting time to Father because of his behavior. She was also awarded attorney's fees
    Description:
I represented Mother in a paternity action of a 5 year old child. She was historically the primary care parent. Father became involved in the last year and was very controling and demanding. He wanted joint custody and equal parenting time, Mother wanted sole custody and limited parenting time.
  • Change of Custody/Relocation

    Practice Area:
    Child Custody
    Date:
    Nov 03, 2010
    Outcome:
I won! This was probably the biggest case of my career and I was able to get Father custody and relocate the child back to AZ.
    Description:
Parties divorced 5 years ago. At the time of divorce Father agreed that Mother could move to another state with the child. Now Father now wants to change custody, giving him primary, and relocating the child back to AZ. This was a tough case because Mother had been the primary custodian for so many years and a change in custody would also require that the child move from one state to another.
