About Me

Jeff Mulliner and his wife and partner, Kristen Lyn Mulliner, are pleased to invite you to meet for a free consultation at their office, which focuses exclusively on criminal defense representation. Kristen Mulliner was a respected and admired felony prosecutor, when she elected to leave government service in 2010 to devote her career to fight for and represent the accused.  Jeff Mulliner spent a decade at the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office in San Antonio, Texas, rising rapidly to become a chief district court prosecutor in the trial division, where he served as the first-chair attorney in dozens of the most high-profile and serious criminal cases to go before a jury. Jeff has successfully tried over two hundred cases to a jury and along the way, has developed a “reputation for fairness[1]”.

Since 2002, Jeff Mulliner has immersed his professional life in the art and practice of vigorously representing the accused – with as much or more zeal than he previously felt for the prosecution function. The result has been an impressive record of jury acquittals, dismissals, reductions, pre-trial diversion, deferred adjudication and probation obtained for clients who could only hope for such results at the time of their arrest.

Licensed to practice in all State and Federal Courts in Texas, Jeff is one of only 32 attorney’s selected by a classification committee overseen by the San Antonio Division federal courts to receive “complex” cases, denoting his experience in complex and multi-defendant criminal cases. In 2011, Jeff was the President of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Association (SACDLA) which is an organization with over five hundred (500) active members and he presently serves as a sitting member of the Bexar County Bail Bond Board and as an appointed member of the Bexar County District Court Voucher Review Committee.  Nationally, Jeff presently serves as a member of the NACDL (National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers) Immigration Committee and on the NACDL Diversity Committee.
