Dan Peugh is excellent in handling criminal defense. He has the background and knowledge to navigate through the Denton County legal system. We were extremely pleased in his availability and how he kept us up to date on what was happening. I would gladly recommend him for criminal defense.

Daniel Peugh was hired to represent my son in a bogus criminal case. Mr. Peugh handled the case better than I could have expected. I have gotten into a bogus case myself and have chosen him to represent me. I am confident that he will get the best out one for me as well. Praise well deserved!

My name is Taylor smith, I was facing a possession of marijuana misdemeanor because I was present with four other people one of which purchased but did not admit possession. We were all arrested and I wasn't sure of the best course of action. Daniel informed me of my options and assured me he would do his best to get the case dismissed, because he thought it was not only possible, but likely. He is well known by many people in the Denton county court system, is honest, and realistic. A few days ago my case was dismissed, I received email notification of this and today received a letter with the documents. I would recommend Daniel to anyone In a similar situation, and for general legal counsel. He is well informed, experienced, liked by many in the court system, and reasonably priced. The people I was with who's circumstances were the same as mine are still waiting for a verdict or any news at all. I'm glad Daniel represented me, if you need legal assistance id meet with Daniel, and you'll see all of these qualities yourself. Thanks a lot!

Attorney, Daniel Peugh, was retained by my daughter to represent me in a Theft charge. Since I am not a US citizen I could face a potential deportation if I were convicted of that offense. Mr. Peugh conducted full investigation of my case and the possibility of my charge being dismissed . He contacted the Prosecutor's Attorney office of the county where charge has been filed, and after many months of letters and phone calls, his hard work and dedication to my case, it, finally, was dismissed. I was removed from the list of Bail Bond's company and no longer am required to check with them. I am satisfied that the fee charged by Mr. Peugh Law Firm was fair and his services were very professional and competent. This was a very serious matter for me and he gave me much peace of mind throughout the case. I want to thank my attorney from the bottom of my heart for the job well done!

I'm a person with high expectations and Mr. Peugh met and exceeded them. He was very knowledgeable and great at communicating. I interviewed 5 Denton Attorneys and picked Daniel Peugh. It was a good decision. I think he handled matters like the BEST Attorney in Denton, Texas

Mr. Peugh was a very effective lawyer for my son. He prepared us for each court hearing and worked to reduce the charges for a favorable outcome that led to the dropping of all charges coditioned on good conduct by my son for several years

Mr. Peugh did an excellent job of handling our case. It was our first time, and he explained what was going to happen thoroughly. Covered all the details for our kid to think about, and put it in language he could understand. We also had a unique situation that he handled in a very discrete manner that saved us a LOT of grief! Outstanding!

Mr. Peugh was very quick to get to work on my case, and very informative on the details of the case. He told me the best options for me. I feel like i could not have had a better lawyer for my case.

Mr. Peugh and his staff were all that we hoped. He handled our daughter's juvenile case efficiently and convinced the judge of the preferable outcome when there was a question as to the disposition of her case. He took in stride the peculiarities of our case, all the while offering helpful advice to us and our daughter. I couldn't be more pleased.

Two days after hiring my first attorney, i found Mr. peugh and immediately changed my mind (which meant losing 1000 dollars) just to insure I had Mr. Peugh on my side. He was more like a friend to me and did everything he could to make everything easier for me to understand. He walked me through every step of my first legal encounter, gave me expert advice and never stoped working for the very best possible outcome. He is 100 percent working for you...and only you the second he is contacted. I have never felt so comfortable and safe as I did after making the commitment to put my future in Mr. Peughs hands. I highly recomend him to anyone in need of criminal defense.

My dad found Mr.Peugh online, so I was a little concerned at first. But my concerns were instantly put to rest at our first meeting. He and his executive assitant were friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. My questions, and their were plenty, were answered almost immediately.I would strongly recommend Mr.Peugh to any and all persons in need.

Daniel Peugh and his legal assistant Cara Thompson have been extremely thorough with my case and constantly kept me informed during every step of the process. Not only did they do their jobs with quality and achieve a positive outcome with my defense, they also helped to calm my fears and treated me with respect. All updates regarding my case were handled professionally and timely. I was never out of the loop in terms of where the case stood or what the next steps were. I would recommend Daniel's legal assistance to anyone I know. He is awesome!! :)

Occasionally good people make poor decisions, which is what happened in my case. I inadvertently held onto credentials that were previously valid but should have been locked away rather than on my person. Daniel was able to resolve my case before it was ever filed. I was fortunate, and Daniel's excellent representation allowed me to resolve a situation that quickly became confusing and unjust. He kept me informed and he always returned my calls or emails. Daniel always let me know where I stood and what my options were. I believe choosing him to be my attorney was the best choice I made in resolving this matter, and I am well-pleased with his efforts and hard work on my behalf. I highly recommend him if you need legal representation.

In august of 2010 I was arrested, for not one, but two, 2nd degree felonies. The offence(s) were commited while I was intoxicated. I spent several days in jail before being bailed out. This was the first time I had been arrested, and was scared to say the least. Mr. Peugh came and spoke with me while in jail, and his confidence and knowledge, was reassuring to me. I took any and all advise Mr. Peugh gave me, and throughout the next year, worked closely with him to get favorable results in court. I would sometimes call him two or three times a week, with questions or concerns, and while Im sure he had many other clients and cases to work on, he always took the time to explain things to me, which was invaluable as I was clueless on the legal process, and in agony waiting to see what would happen to me. Mr. Peugh always took an optimistic but realistic approach to everything. His knowledge of the legal system in unparalleled! To make a long story short, one long year and five trips to court later, Mr. Peugh got me 5 years deferred adjudication..a blessing, considering I could have served 20 years for each of my 2 counts! Mr. Peugh is a great attorney, and I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone!

Unfortunately, I found myself needing a lawyer. My son was being accused of something he did not do. The police arrested my son. The case was going to go to the DA so they can start prosecuting. We made bond and started to look for a lawyer to defend my son. I found Daniel Peugh through the internet. I went to AVVO and started to look at the reviews of the lawyers available in the area. I had found a couple of lawyer that seemed to be ok. I made appointments with both of them. On the day of the appointments I found that one of the lawyers was not going to be there and I will be interviewing with one of the associates. I did not like that and decided to cancel that appointment. The other lawyer was Daniel Peugh. It is well known that no lawyer is 100% successful But Daniel has a very high success rate. He handled the interview personally. He was courteous and to the point. Once we explained the situation and showed him the affidavits that we had collected, he told us what to expect. He never promised us that he will fix the problem. He explained what he could do and the experience that he had with similar cases. He explained the possible scenarios from dropping the case to being convicted of the offense. He started to work on the case immediately. He notified us of any development on a regular basis. He was able to prove to the DA that there was no case. The DA decided not to prosecute. Now, he is working on an expunction. We are very satisfied with the work he has done for us. I will highly recommend him to anyone looking at felony charges. I hope that in the future we do not need the services of a lawyer but if we do we will use Daniel again.

I recently hired Mr. Daniel Peugh as my attorney for a very serious charge. I had a warrant for my arrest & was given good advice on how to handle it by turning myself in. Mr. Peugh notified the judge via email that I would be voluntarily turning myself in & I only spent about 6 hours in the cell before I was bailed out. (I'd recommend wearing a single layer of warm clothes.) Once I was released, I met with him & more thoroughly discussed my case. He told me exactly what I needed to do to help him start building my defense. Within 3 weeks we gathered & provided enough information to the D. A.'s office that my case never even ended up going to court. Mr. Peugh emailed a copy of the Decline Letter to me. It was one of the most beautiful things I had seen in my entire life, especially considering that I was facing a third degree felony charge.
Attorneys aren't cheap; I had to pay $3K and perform plenty of leg-work to get my results. He told me that at no additional attorney charge, he would help me (as long as I pay the court fees) with filing the proper papers for getting the arrest completely expunged from the records in about 3 years.
I am very satisfied with my results and have NOTHING negative to say about this man.

Save your money and if possible stick with a court appointed attorney because this attorney only cares about payment and has one foot out the door once he receives a down payment and a signed contract. My case was a 2nd DWI. I refused to blow and refused blood. The only proof were the field tests that were video taped. When I went to visit him the first time, he seemed very competent and confident. He will win you over but he doesn't keep you updated in a timely manner. I was receiving letters from the courts or the DPS a whole week or two before he would call me to inform me what had taken place (and everyone knows the system generally takes their time sending paperwork out). We had agreed that I would be able to watch my arrest video when he received it he watched it alone and I never got to view and his response was it's bad and we're going to have to plea. That was almost 2 months after my arrest. Then I didn't hear from him for 3 months, until I had to personally go into his office ONE week before my court date to find out what was going on with my case and how we were going to proceed. He didn't even know that I had my final hearing court date until I informed him during my visit. The ADA had sent my attorney a preliminary plea bargain (who knows how long he had it) so we reviewed it. He tried hard to convince me to do 80 days jail time informing me that I would become a trustee and get 2 days for every 1 day served which would cut my time in half but what he failed to inform me was that becoming a trustee isn't guaranteed. The day of my trial he had one foot out the door because he knew I just wanted to settle the case that day. He talked with the ADA and they came up with figures for probation, jail time, and interlock device. I took that plea because I thought I was getting a bargain but when we went to finalize it in front of the judge the judge informed me that although the paperwork I signed said one thing due to the law I had to do 6 months longer on the interlock device. Obviously my attorney wasn't prepared and knowledgable about one of the portions of the law pertaining to 2nd DWI which we had discussed a couple of times so I got screwed and still ended up doing the max time for everything from probation to community service. I've been doing jail time now as part of my plea bargain and just found out that he even did my paperwork wrong. My paperwork says that I should be out on X day but he did the math wrong so now I'm not able to be released as time served for another 2 weeks. I paid this attorney over $2000 for absolutely nothing. Whatever you do don't hire this guy. He is seriously not worth it.

Mr. Peugh is currently working on a case for me and is getting good results thus far. I had another lawyer before I met Mr. Peugh who was a nightmare to work with. The other lawyer was rude, pretentious, and just an overall jerk. He made me feel like he was much too busy to take five minutes on phone with me to answer my questions and concerns. I just thought all lawyers were like that and I was beginning to feel very hopeless and alone in my legal situation. That was until I met Mr. Peugh. I'm so thankful I replaced my last lawyer and hired Mr. Peugh. I met him at his office one day and after talking with him for about 10 minutes, I knew that he was the type of person I wanted working for me. He is very well spoken and very bright. He is very persistent, a go-getter, and is simply determined to get results. He instantly made me feel at ease and I completely trust him with my case. I truly believe he is just and overall good person and a very hard worker. I'm always telling people what a great lawyer he is. I am so thankful that I picked up the phone and gave him a call. It was one of the best decisions I could have made.

Having Mr. Peugh represent me has definitely worked out well. He's smart, resourceful and thorough and is always mindful of my legal rights, as well as my family's. He's not just someone who got results for me in my case - he's also someone I trust.

Daniel has worked with me in regards to some technical aspects of my case and advised me on options I had as well as working around my school schedule. In addition he has been readily available to give advice as he is conveniently located right next to UNT campus and has been friendly and understanding throughout the process. He understood that I was a student who made a mistake rather than some mindless criminal who he treated as a paycheck which most other lawyers I have come into contact with have. He got me a reduced charge and minimum fine, and with a knowledge of the intricate DA processes nearly got my case thrown out before it was even filed. A+++. I highly recommend him to anyone in Denton or the surrounding areas.
