Now I'm just a dumb old Texas lawyer, but here in Texas almost any ticket, if unpaid, can result in a warrant and/or arrest. Consult an experienced traffic ticket attorney in your state. In my Texas experience, if you get the car registeed or inspected soon after you get the ticket, and provide proof to the court, most courts will reduce the fine to a small amount like $10 or $20 or sometimes no fine at all.
