Contact a local personal injury attorney to discuss your situation. It is an unusual one that should be evaluated by a lawyer. Most attorneys will provide a free consultation. You also need to make sure your file was closed with your previous attorney. Any new attorney you hire should be able to assist you with that matter as well.

    Good luck!

There is not enough information given to provide you with a definitive answer. However, given the serious nature of your injuries, I would recommend contacting a local personal injury lawyer to discuss your potential claims. Most lawyers will give you a free consultation.

Also, as the previous poster stated, there are deadlines to file these types of suits. I am not familiar with Ohio statutes of limitations, so can not say how much time, if any, you have left to file a claim. Contacting an attorney soon is very important if you do not want to be barred from making a claim.

  • My son was a victim of a hit and run but he was able to get the license plate number what should he do?

we found the information regarding the car and the driver and the person lives in another city, what do I do with the information?

    Jennifer’s Answer

You/your son should file a report with the police and provide them with the license plate number. Also, give the license plate number to your insurance company. The police and/or your insurance company should be able to determine if they other driver was covered by insurance and if they are you can make a claim against the hit and run driver's insurance company.

More information is needed to answer your question. Did the police come to the scene of the accident? If so, what does their report say? Who did they fault for the accident? Were there any witnesses? Basically it will take an independent third party to end the he said/she said debate. Absent an unbiased witness it might take a jury to determine fault.

Advise your insurance company of other driver's calls and threats. As the previous poster stated, advise your insurance company immediately if you are served with a lawsuit. Your insurance carrier will hire an attorney to defend you.

  • Can a grocery store be liable for damage vehicle cause by shopping carts?

    Jennifer’s Answer

    Karen,
More information is needed to fully answer your question. For example, were the carts that struck your car left in the parking lot by other customers? Also, "acts of god" such as sudden storm may relieve the grocery store from liability. Given that the store has denied liability, I would recommend that you contact an attorney to discuss your options.

    Jennifer’s Answer

You may want to contact a personal injury attorney to discuss this situation further. This is a very unusual situation to say the least. It's possible if you contact the store and the manufacturer of the tampons they may offer you sufficient compensation that there is no need to hire an attorney. How you proceed depends on what kind of response/compensation you are expecting from the store and/or manufacturer.

If you have additional questions, feel free to contact me.

  • Searching for a medical malpractice lawyer in CA. Lawyer in another state currently represents me - he says I have a case!

However, I believe I need an aggressive counsel that resides in CA!

    Jennifer’s Answer

If your current lawyer is not licensed in California, he most likely will be looking for local counsel in California to assist in the prosecution of your case. If you would like to be involved in choosing local counsel, advise your current attorney to include you in the decision-making process. As the previous attorneys mentioned, you can contact a local bar association or the American Association of Justice for referrals. However, your current attorney may know attorneys in California that can assist with your case.

  • My son was injured in auto accident. what is paid by auto insurance? What happens when health insurance is subrogates?

another person was driven my vehicle. It was a single vehicle accident. Is the drivers insurance responsible for any claims? What are son's options when reaching a settlement?

    Jennifer’s Answer

I agree with Marc's recommendation to seek the advice of a lawyer. In a case like this where there are multiple insurance companies/policies involved, an experienced personal injury lawyer can help you navigate the complexities of your son's settlement(s).
