Outcome: Decision in favor of my clients, upheld on appeal.
Description: Represented a homeowner's association in a suit against one of its members who built an addition to the rear of his home without association approval and in violation of restrictive covenants. The court found that the homeowner had violated the restrictive covenants and ordered the homeowner to remove his addition and to comply with the covenants. The homeowner appealed the ruling to the Louisiana Fourth Circuit Court of Appeal. I argued the appeal twice, first before a three-judge panel and then before a five-judge panel. The Appeals court affirmed the ruling that the homeowner of the trial judge.
