Case Conclusion Date: May 25, 2010
Practice Area: Workers Compensation
Outcome: Over two years of TTD recovered for client.
Description: Client received a hernia while moving a roll of carpet at work. Unfortunately, when the employee went into work, he was diagnosed with cancer that had to be treated first. When the cancer treatment was finished, the employer refused to provide hernia treatment. A temporary hearing was held where medical benefits were awarded. The employer appealed, but the award was affirmed by the Commission. Our client was able to eventually have surgery and was released to return to work 108 weeks after he was released from cancer treatment. Our office sought, and recovered, over two years of TTD benefits for our client at a final hearing.
