Kim kept me informed at all times. She is very compassionate, knowledgeable and understanding. She completed the task at hand in a very timely and professional manner.
Kim did a fantastic job during all levels of the before, during and folowup of the mediation process. I would highlet recommend Kim in the future.
Kim Kirn represented me in an employment case. I found her to be extremely helpful. She led me through a very difficult time, continually explaining to me each step in the process. I felt very comfortable with her approach and looked to her for expertise and advice. I would highly recommend to others.
We used Kim's services in a mediation case. Kim was very kind, warm, and understanding. She listened attentively as we explained our "side" of the case. We felt very comfortable sharing our story with her. She was a breath of fresh air in a very stressful sitiuation. Kim helped both us & the other party to reach an agreement when it orginally looked like neither side would budge. She was very patient and dedicated to help both parties to come to a resolution. I would definitely recommend Kim to a friend.
I am an employment lawyer and Kim Kirn has acted as mediator in several of my cases. In each case, Kim was very knowledgeable about the law and developed a good rapport with my clients. This was critical to success of the mediation. She explained the process and discussed the strenths and weaknesses of the case with my clients in a way that was easily understood and (most importantly) objective. I highly recommend her.
Kim gets it done! Mediation is tedious and easy to abandon--everybody can consider they have done their "duty" by just showing up. Kim has the insight to find the points to encourage resolution. Many mediators try to merely "talk down" what a party considers strong points. Kim has that skill, but adds the ability to find the positive points people want to accomplish. She also has the patience to "out wait" a reluctant participant and let them research additional information the feel they need.
Kim was assigned by the EEOC to mediate a claim against my prior employer. She was very professional, warm and courteous, asked a lot of questions to understand my side, and started the mediation with a very clear set of guidelines for both sides to follow. Her stated goal was to have the case resolved, and she offered to do anything to bridge the two sides. At times when one side would stall, she would work with the other to find something else to keep the conversation going. My lawyer representing me was very impressed with her and at the end of the day, both sides had reached an agreement that was very satisfactory. I'm not a lawyer, but I walked away with the distinct impression that she had deep knowledge of the psychology of the lawyer of each side, very intuitive, and honed in on many subtle areas that turned out to be important. Definitely would choose her again if I ever needed a mediation!
