Description: The plaintiff was working inside the bottom of an unprotected 15 foot deep trench when one of the side walls collapsed, burying him alive for 20 minutes. The plaintiff sustained serious orthopedic and neurologic injuries rendering him incapable of working. Suit was brought against Bovis Lend Lease, the construction manager on the project who failed to provide the plaintiff a safe place to work.
