About Me

Michael R. Fox has been in trial practice for 36 years.    He is an elected member of American Board of Trial Attorneys (ABOTA), The American College of Labor and Employment Lawyers and Litigation Counsel of America.   He has been listed in Best Lawyers in America for more than 25 years and his firm his ranked as a Tier I firm in Best Lawyers in America.    He has been chosen one of the top 100 trial lawyers in Wisconsin, the 2010 Madison Area Employment Lawyer of the Year by Best Lawyers in America and one of 22 Leaders in the Law for the year 2012 by the Wisconsin Law Journal.  Over the course of his career he has served on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Academy of Trial Lawyers (now the Wisconsin Association for Justice) and  the Plaintiff's Employment Lawyers Association (PELA) (now the National Employment Lawyers Association).  The Wisconsin chapter of the American Board of Trial Attorneys limits its elected membership to 65 attorneys who have tried a minimum number of jury cases to verdict.  He has been repeatedly ranked in the top 50 vote recipients in Wisconsin Law & Politics. Mr. Fox has tried more than 50 cases to verdict.   By far the majority of those cases being tried to a jury.   Mr. Fox has prevailed in a very high percentage of his trials making him one of the most experience and sought after trial lawyers in Wisconsin.     He has also litigated cases in Illinois, Minnesota, Texas and Michigan.   Chambers USA rated him as  the number one lawyer representing employees in the state of Wisconsin and his firm the number one law firm  representing employees in employment related disputes.  He handles litigation related to employment, securities, business disputes, constitutional claims, personal injury, intellectual property and legal malpractice.  His most recent jury verdict was entered in December of 2012 in Dubin v. MATC where he won an award worth more than 1 Million dollars for his client as well as reinstatement into prefessorhip at MATC.  In December of 2012 he also suceeded in overcoming immunity defensives in a claim brought on behalf of a domestic abuse victim who was sexually propositioned by the DA charged with prosecuting her abuser.  SV v. Kratz  Mr. Fox has given in excess of 100 presentations during the course of his legal career covering all areas of trial practice as well as special topics pertaining to constitutional law.  Many of his cases have received extensive publicity as a result of the novelty and complexity of the case issues or the notoriety of the litigants involved.
