Robert R. Stearns is the best Attorney in Austin.

Robert R. Stearns is the best Attorney, I have ever dealt with. He kept me informed with the details of my case every step of the way, and promptly returned my calls when I had questions. He won my case, and charged a reasonable rate. Lets face it, Attorneys don't always have their clients best interests in mind. With Robert, you can be sure that your problem is his problem, and that he will stop at nothing to win your case or get you the best deal possible.

    Thank you Robert.

    DISSAPPOINTED

After using this attorney I have lost faith in legal representation, the courts, and the entire legal system. He failed to perform up to what we agreed upon. And he even did the opposite! I did not get near what i should had for the huge retainer fee paid. I should have just used assigned counsel or represented myself for what I got.

    Below Average

I used this attorney for a criminal case. He had a VERY impressive web site and bragged about what he "could do" so I hired him. He charged more than any other atorneys I spoke to for the same services. I was very disappointed when he failed to return my calls and missed a court date. After years of poor service, he withdrew as my counsel and left me in a worse legal condition than I was in before hiring him.

    Great work

About 2 or 3 months ago I hired Robert. He came highly recommended by some friends. I was pulled over and received a traffic ticket. I decided to fight the ticket. When I spoke to Robert he was very good at listening and he fully understood my position. Robert got the points removed from my record. So that I just needed to pay the ticket. Every time I called him he promptly returned my phone calls. I never felt unsupported at anytime. I would recommend Robert to anyone who needs legal advice. He is professional, timely and down to earth. Thanks Robert

    Great attorney

I hired Mr. Stearns about 16 months ago to represent me in a case involving control of a settlement my son had received years earlier. His mother wanted control of it. The judge ruled in favor of my son and the settlement was put in a trust in my son's name. I believe this probably would not have happened had Mr. Stearns not been involved. I highly recommend him.

    Current Client No BS Review

I hired him and paid a premium because he claimed to be an "expert" in his field! He did good for the first couple months, then missed THE MOST IMPORTANT COURT DATE!! He NEVER told me his missed it, and still chatged me as if he had showed up!! He did NOT do most of what we agreed to when I hired him. He acted like he didn't care. And even worse, he started arguing for the prosecutor!! DO NOT HIRE THIS GUY if yopu want to win!

Robert R. Stearns’s response: “This "gentleman" and I currently in a bill dispute. He also filed a grievance against me with the State Bar, which was summarily dismissed. 1) Despite his claims, I do not "charge a premium." My prices are in line with other attorneys with my skill and experience. While I certainly can name lawyers out there who will handle a felony case for $600.00, with attorneys, like everything else, you get what you pay for. His other allegations are as equally baseless. 2) What he does not mention is that I had drove up to Saginaw to consult with him at 8:00pm on a Friday night, that I filed several motions on his behalf, that I had one of the multiple charges dropped (another one was dismissed but reinstated upon the prosecutor's Motion for Reconsideration), that I was his second attorney (the first had withdrawn due to the client being extremely difficult to deal with), and that he failed to provide the exculpatory evidence that he claimed to have to prove his innocence. 3) As far as “arguing for the prosecution,” I gave him an honest assessment of the evidence against him. It wasn’t good. Rather than give him sound legal counsel, he apparently didn’t appreciate that and expected me to be a cheerleader. If you’re looking for someone to just tell you what you want to hear, I am not the attorney for you. If you want a lawyer who will give you an honest assessment of your case and vigorously fight for you in court, then call me.”
