A number of years ago, when the sheriff's department in Pinellas Co. was arresting people for things like having overdue library books, I fell afoul of "the law." (My son had a life threatening injury and, as I had no insurance -- I'm the pay as you go type -- Mease Dunedin attempted to "dump" him. I raised hell and got arrested for "disorderly conduct." Two days later I was arrested for "obstructing a criminal child abuse investigation" because I wouldn't leave my kids alone with some strange woman from the "state." Mr. Howie advised me on this, competently, of course, but most importantly, it was a time of great stress and he demonstrated himself to be a good human being. Not too many lawyers like that.

I give Bruce the highest rating. He knows the law inside and out and he guided me through a very stressful process with calm confidence. Not only were false charges dropped, the city publicly apologized. He's the best.
