Linda Schoonover has represented us twice, once in a juvenile dependency case and then in the legal custody case involving our grandson, the son of the the daugher involved in the dependency case. She has responded promptly to all questions, given correct advice, and prepared us for the court hearing. She has now been elected to serve on the Circuit Court and will do an excellent job.

Schoonover charges rediculous rates for what she accomplishes. In my case she recommended giving the house that was almost paid off and paying permenent alimony. 16 year marraige with a women who was 35 at time of divorce. She filed for divorce and there was not cheating or abuse. If she lived to 85, that's 50 years of alimony for a 16 year marriage. Plus the home.
I ended up having to hire another attorney. The attorney that represented my x walked all over Schoonover. Don't waiste your money.

Linda and her staff did a great job keeping me informed and advising me of my legal rights. She always made an effort to smooth out matters with opposing council as best as she could during a tumultuous divorce, preventing an expensive litigation. She was, however, prepared and qualified to litigate if necessary, which I think really helps to settle a case with a reasonable outcome. I would definitely recommend Linda and her staff to my friends and relatives.

She is highly cooperative, responsive and flexible. She creates an atmosphere of open communication..honest, above board, fair and straightforward.
