Upon going to court multiple times with Mr. Cork for child custody and child support nothing was done. The sat back as if he wasn't there while the judge jumped my throat. And my son's biological dad isn't being forced to pay child support but I have to send him. We have a 6 year old son and I have not received any type of child support since he was 2 years old. Showing proof and evidence of gang related activities they do with my son over there , along with the court order violations of them drinking and smoking (of course not a cigarette). He failed to consider the safety of my child so I wouldn't recommend this attorney I will be finding another to represent me
I paid Mr. Cork to represent me in a child support case. The day of court Mr. Cork failed to appear. The Judge asked me where my legal representation was and I told the Judge I had no idea. The Judge asked me if I hired Mr. Cork and I provided two money orders to the Judge for $500 each. The Judge issued a bench warrant for Mr. Corks arrest for failure to Appear/Represent. When Mr. Cork finally arrived the Judge scolded him for this "reoccurring problem" in his and his Dad's Law Firm. The Judge asked Mr. Cork for an adequate response for his inability to appear on time and Mr. Cork stated he was unaware that he was my legal representation... he thought it was his Dad. Oddly enough he wasn't unaware how to cash a money order! The Judge asked me if I wanted Mr. Cork to further represent me and I stated no your Honor. The Judge asked me, I understand you are firing your legal representation and I stated, yes your Honor. The Judge instructed Mr. Cork to refund my money and granted me a two week continuance. He instructed me to find competent legal counsel (his words) in-which I retained Randall Hicks (Former USAF/Area Defense Counsel) who was superb! Lastly he told me if I had any problems obtaining my fee I paid Cork and Cork to return to his chambers. I immediately went back to Cork and Corks office and waited two hours before I told them I am going back to talk to the Judge... at that time they paid me and told me they shouldn't have to because it was an honest miscommunication as to who was representing me. THANK GOD NEITHER OF THEM DID!
Mr. Cork was hired to represent me on a probation violation. I found out that I did not need a lawyer in the end. He never returned my calls. He told untruths to my wife about helping me after I was obtained by the law enforcement. When my wife confronted him about the facts, he cursed her out and threatened her and to make it hard on me. He took my money and never helped me at all. All he did was insult my wife. He called all of his clients a low life, which means that he thought that I was a low life as well. Please pray and ask God before thinking of hiring him. It is in your best interest to avoid him.
This was the only lawyer I could afford for my DUI case. He was constantly late for court and off-topic in our discussions of my case. He wanted me to plead guilty at my administrative license suspension hearing, only to renig in criminal court- that sounded very fishy to me and I refused. The video evidence for my case was ready months before he got it, he seemed to be unaware that a separate payment must be made for the video evidence. His manner with other clients was deplorable, he barely recognized clients he had in court and had no warmth about him at all. Other client's lawyers were first names and handshakes-Mr. Cork was not.
He exhibited little knowledge of DUI law, and was painfully confused at the DDS hearing. The majority of his questions were out of the "scope" of the hearing and were useless. He ended up convincing me to plea guilty to DUI as he was incapable of procuring defense strategies. All in all, a massive waste of 1,000 dollars. He constantly bashed other lawyers, but showed little bravado himself. Avoid at all costs.
