David Thomson is highly experienced in family law. His direct but calm and friendly manner, his "people skills" and his ability to make quick and accurate assessments through very concise questions likely saved me many thousands of dollars, by avoiding a court hearing in a situation with a troubled child. (The costs of such an ordeal can be quite damaging to BOTH parties, even if one is in the right.)
Also, such a court procedure can be invasive and demoralizing. I am fortunate to have found this lawyer in time to help me through this problem. He addressed every concern and advised me well. A great person and an excellent lawyer. I will recommend him to anyone, especially for very sensitive and difficult cases, which mine was. He is honest, a clear communicator, and patient. Family cases can be quite emotionally-charged, but he put me very much at ease. There were some serious implications with my case and I cannot imagine anyone who could have handled things better than David Thomson did.
David took a real interest in my situation and showed exceptional professionalism even though I was excited at times due to the nature of the case. He kept the best interests of my daughter as the focus of our decision-making process and armed me with information that enabled me to make the most informed decisions about all of the aspects of the case.
David continues to prove to be someone that I can depend on for very direct and clear advice and guidance. I was very fortunate to have someone like him to help me through this and won't hesitate to call on him first if the need arises in the future.
I found Mr. Thomson to be a pleasant, patient, and very understanding attorney. For my case, he worked tirelessly and proved to be a pugnacious defender of my interests. He was considerate with respect to both the emotional and financial impact of going through divorce. His experience and proficiency before juries is invaluable, even if your case is settled before going to trial (like mine was). He came highly recommended and, in the end, was acknowledged by both the opposing counsel and a neutral mediator as very capable. Relatively speaking, his rates were quite reasonable. In short, Mr. Thomson is a sound investment in your legal interests.
