Second Marriage

Charles Bernard Pyke Jr.

Practice Area: Estate Planning

Outcome: (Not available)

Description: 2. A husband and wife came in to meet with me. This was a second marriage for both and they each had children from previous relationships. The husband is the more financially secure of the two. They did not have the same desire for the distribution of their respective estates. The husband wants to leave his assets to his wife for her life and then at her death it would all pass to his own children. On the other hand, the wife feels the husband has sufficient assets and does not need to inherit from her. She desires to leave her portion of the estate directly to her own children, excluding the husband. We were able to represent them both and accomplish their wishes.
