I hired Jessica to represent me in a custody case in NC. She took my money, dismissed my case and stated that "There were some errors in your paperwork, and I am going to refile it next week." She never refiled it as she agreed and it has been almost 18 months since she was hired. She wouldn't return my phone calls or emails and it was impossible to get in touch with her.

After doing an internet search for her, I found that she was working for a law firm in California. She never told me that she was moving to California and was going to just practice law there. She should have finished the case she was paid to do before she moved. What kind of shady disrespectful lawyer moves to another state and fails to inform their client in the middle of an open case.

I would not trust her at this point as she has lied to me, and never did what she said she was going to do. She took my money and ran.

I went to Ms. Lesowitz 3 1/2 years to handle my divorce. There wasn't much money involved so it was a small case. I met her in her office, was very impressed and gave her a $5,000.00 retainer and that was the last time I saw her. After 2 months, I emailed several times and getting no response, left several phone messages at her office (each time I called, after giving my name, I was told she was in court). I never heard back from her. Finally, during the 4th month, I called and gave a different name.....she was there! I had to start over again with another lawyer (who finished the divorce in 60 days), less $2,000. that she charged me for her time.
