My options on suing my orthodontist?

Asked by a user in Emporia, VA - about 2 years ago.

In order to file a legal action against a health care provider in Virginia, you must be able to prove that his care failed to comply with the appropriate "standard of care". This can only be done by having your teeth evaluated by another orthodontist. I would suggest sharing your concerns with your current orthodontist and trying to get it resolved with him first. good luck

Getting a second opinion regarding medical malpractice

Asked by a user in Arcadia, FL - about 2 years ago.

You may always consult new counsel about your case. He may be limited in what information he can provide so long as you continue to be represented by someone else, but there is no reason for you to be hesitant to get a second poinion.
