About Me

I have been in court approximately three days a week for over 28 years.  So I would be best described as a trial attorney.  People hire me to use my nearly three decades of experience in Court and over two decades of experience writing the laws, to represent them in Court, protect their rights, and serve as their advocate.

I am a co-founder of my law firm, Albo & Oblon.  Prior to that, I served as the Prosecutor for the City of Fairfax, and am presently serving in the Virignia House of Delegates as the elected representative for the Southern tip of Fairfax County.  Since Virginia is a Citizen-Legislature, I still work every day as an attorney.

We practice in the following areas:

Traffic Court Defense:  I spent three years as the Traffic Court Prosecutor for the City of Fairfax.  This is where I honed my skills in this area of the law.  As both a prosecutor and as a defense attorney, I have tried literally thousands of drunk driving (DUI / DWI) cases, Reckless Driving cases, and other criminal law charges.  And I am always up on the latest changes in the law as I continue to serve in the House of Delegates Courts of Justice Committee where I am presently Chairman.

Employment Law:  We are one of Virginia's leading Employment Law Firms.  Our attorneys teach Employment Law to other attorneys.  Our work includes Discrimination Cases (EEOC), Non-Competes, Wage & Hour Law, Employment Contracts, Grievance Procedures, and all other employment related litigation.

Federal Government Contracts:  Our lead attorney in this section is a former Government Contracts judge.  Our work includes, among other things, advising clients on the FAR, contract compliance, bidding on contracts, bid protests, and defense of bid protests.

Business Litigation:  I have tried cases in Virginia Circuit Courts, Federal District Courts and Virginia and Federal Appellate Courts.  The only way to be a good trial attorney is to be in court, and I have been in court literally thousands of times over 28 years.

Alcohol Beverage Control Law:  I have served as one of the only lawyers on the House of Delegates Sub-committee dealing with alcohol beverage control.  Consequently, I have helped write every law that has passed over the past 22 years.  I can advise and represent clients in negotiating the often confusing  maze of the ABC.  This includes everything from the acquisition of ABC licenses to fighting against its revocation by the ABC.
