During the three-year course of senseless litigation in my divorce, I lost all respect for the many attorneys involved--including my own--and particularly for the ruling judge. I felt trapped in a surreal Kafkaesque nightmare where justice was turned upside down. So it was with trepidation and a heavy heart that I made the decision to appeal the DC Superior Court's ruling that I should pay a substantial portion of my ex-husband's attorney's fees when he instigated the divorce and filed over two-thirds of the legal actions and where he had a team of high-priced attorneys and I was often without counsel. My faith in human decency was restored once I contacted Christopher Pudelski. From the outset, he was professional, respectful, attentive , and responsive. His fee arrangement was straightforward, transparent and remarkably reasonable--especially given what I had already spent on substandard legal representation. His brief was thorough, scholarly, extremely well-written and organized--and it was submitted on schedule. I write all this even though the appeal process has not been completed nor a ruling issued, because as far as I'm concerned, he has already earned every nickel of his fee. The ruling will be what it will be but I am more than satisfied because I know he has put 150% effort into it on my behalf. He is a credit to his profession--a rare one.
