Mr. Custer is a trial attorney at the law firm Eisenberg & Torisky focusing his practice on general property and casualty claims. He also handles professional liability, commercial transportation, and mining claims.
Prior to joining Eisenberg & Torisky he was an attorney and legal auditor with the Litigation Services Division of Chartis. He assisted in the management of litigation nationwide, concentrating on product liability, insurance coverage, construction, and property & casualty claims.
Prior to joining Chartis, Mr. Custer practiced law at Picadio Sneath Miller & Norton - a boutique litigation firm in Pittsburgh, PA.
He also practiced at the Pittsburgh office of Margolis Edelstein - a mid-sized Philadelphia based insurance defense firm.
Mr. Custer has experience litigating cases in Western Pennsylvania with exposures up to several million dollars.
While in practice, Mr. Custer regularly appeared before judges in Allegheny, Washington, Westmoreland, Butler, Beaver, Cambria, Indiana, Lawrence, Mercer, and Erie counties, arguing dispositive and discovery motions. He has also participated in mediation of high exposure cases.
He was a regular contributor to the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Civil Litigation Update from 2005-2007, authoring reviews for cases from the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania and the Superior Court of Pennsylvania.
Mr. Custer currently resides in Pittsburgh with his wife and four children.
