I'm reading my disposition letter and I can't understand this

The charge was reduced from the criminal charge of Shopliftng to a Township Ordinance charge of disorderly conduct. You can see the code section online at: http://www.ecode360.com/9105846 The result is that you were not convicted of a "crime" or disorderly persons offense," but merely an ordinance. Should be convicted of shoplifting in the future, this ordinance conviction would not constitute a prior offense for sentencing purposes. You can expunge this conviction if otherwise eligible.
