I had the pleasure of getting to know Jim through a lawyer friends recommendation to represent a family member. After getting to know Jim I can describe him as fair, knowledgeable, "down to earth with his approach" and easy to deal with. His advice through the process was matter of fact and accurate. Jim outlined the boundaries and expectations and in most part I believe we fared as well as we could given all variables involved. Thanks Jim

From start to finish Jim was very professional, courteous, knowledgeable and responsive to all questions that my fiancé and I posed in the home purchasing process. He handled all administrative tasks without a hitch and provided all items required to us on a timely manner. He took the time to discuss with us the different procedures and paperwork that needed to be completed. Jim looked out for us as on a professional and personal level when dealing with the selling party. Very enjoyable experience working with Jim and will definitely be using in the future.

James McGovern helped me tremendously with a DWI that I had gotten while coming home from an office holiday party. Without Jim's expertise combined with his extremely miticulous attention to detail, I do not know how I would have gotten through this ordeal in the manner I in wich I prevailed. Jim was painstakingly precise about every single detail of my case. This, in conjuction with his work ethic, knowledge of the law, efficiency and effectiveness in applying his expertise, brought me the most advantageous outcome. Jim spent countless hours paying very careful attention to every part of my case, and uncovered so many points that never crossed my mind. His precision and exactness in assisting me with this particular situation, demonstrated that Jim is an honest, ethical attorney who goes that extra mile. He is an excellent lawyer who is genuinely concerned, and has a complete understanding of the law and how it pertained to my matter. No stone went unturned, and that was extremely important in achieving the best possible outcome.
Jim also brought me piece of mind and I was actually able to sleep well at night knowing that he was handling my case effectively and efficiently. This was very important, because prior to hiring Jim as my attorney, I was a nervous wreck, continuously stressed out and not sleeping well at all. Shortly after working with Jim, he made me feel very comfortable and confident that I was obtaining the best possible service. I never once had any doubt in my mind concerning Jim's capabilities as one of the best attorney's in the industry. He is a true professional, and I was honored to have Jim handle my case. I am so grateful to him for the countless hours and hard work that he spent in helping me achieve the most desirable outcome imaginable. His expediency is unrelenting and Jim's integrity is uncompromising. The fact that Jim was very articulate and his process so well thought out brought an end result that was the most satisfying I could have ever hoped for. I highly recomend James P. McGovern for all of your legal needs.

I went to Jim McGovern after getting a ticket for passing on a double yellow line. I had tried to point out to the trooper that I had passed in a passing zone but he claimed I had pulled out before the passing zone began and pulled back in after it had ended.
Jim met me at the scene and took photos of the road surface where broken up pavement down the center of the road made it difficult in places to see what line had been there prior to the degradation of the surface.
Before we were called before the judge on my night in court, Jim met with the prosecutor. He showed the prosecutor the photos, discussed how it had been dark at the time of the incident and how the trooper had been 4 or 5 cars behind me in the line behind the slow moving transit bus. Jim asked how I was supposed to know that some of the broken center line was the result of missing pavement and how the trooper could be so sure of exactly where I pulled in and out due to the darkness and distance. The prosecutor went to talk to the trooper and came back with him to tell me the case was being dismissed. The trooper shook my hand and apologized for the misunderstanding.
I was really impressed with the collegial relationship Jim had with the prosecutor and the dispatch with which he handled my case!
