I believe in an empathetic practice of law where the client's needs are paramount and the client gets continued support from the attorney. However, I am an aggresive litigator when called for. I am on the Board of Governors of the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys. I am a member of the Frank Murray Inn of Court, a collegial legal organization of judges and lawyers. I love to play tennis and golf. My passion is scuba diving and underwater photography. I have taken pictures in the South Pacific, Middle East, Central America and the Carribean. My photos have won juried award exhibitions. I authored the book "The Law and the Diving Professional" published by the Professional Association of Dive Instructors (PADI). This book has been distributed all over the world. I am currently writing a children's book using animals from the sea as the characters. I reprresent various dive organizations in Massachusetts and won a precedent-setting case by defeating a town ordinance attempting to place an onerous dive flag requirement on scuba divers.
I am one of the founders of my law firm, Kerstein, Coren & Lichtenstein LLP. We have a great office in terms of atmosphere and collegiality and we work hard to maintain this. I enjoy the practice of law and value the relationships I form with other lawyers and my clients. We have 10 partners with experience in most areas of the law.

Steve Coren is a fantastic attorney. He has a rather impressive breadth of knowledge for complex financial issues for divorce cases with substantial assets. He is a tireless, zealous advocate for his clients but also demonstrates a solid professional demeanor with opposing counsel. I would not hesitate to recommend Steve to parties requiring fantastic representation.
