I called Mr. Waldbaum after finding him on Google. My Mass arrest was over a decade ago and I live in California now so I knew this would not be a typical case. On top of that, I had 2 other OUI's in California. Just a mess of a case from beginning to end.
First of all, Mr. Waldbaum treated me like a human being, not a criminal who had run from his arrest for 10 years. He was straight forward on telling me what I could possibly be in for and what he was going to attempt to do.
He arranged it so I could fly in and arrive at the court to take care of the case without being arrested (I had an out stating warrant).
He then fought to get me a 2nd offense (while I could have been prosecuted for a 3rd). He has helped guide me through the steps on clearing my name and as of April 28th, 2015, finally having piece of mind and a free man (the stress over the last decade was horrible)...
Through-out the proceedings, he kept in contact with me to let me know my status. He also saved me at least 2 trips across the country to fight this.
Because of Mr. Waldbaum, I am no longer a wanted man, I'm not on probation and fine free. I haven't been able to say that since 2002.
My only regret is not hiring him years ago. He has given me my life back for sure.

I live in New York State and my daughter lives in Medford, MA - Like most parents I felt awful when I received the phone call that my daughter was arrested and charged with a DUI. Her arrest caused hardship in our family and I didn't know what to do next. Fortunately my wife found Joseph Waldbaum on the internet and it was like God coming to the rescue. He immediately put us at ease and explained to us the best way to handle this situation. It was a very complicated case and Mr. Waldbaum handled it to perfection. My Wife, my daughter, and I could not have been more satisfied. On a scale of one to ten we give Mr. Waldbaum an eleven.

Joseph Waldbaum provided excellent representation for our son, who was innocent of the charge of operating under the influence. His professional expertise in presentation of the facts and proving the charges untrue resulted in a victorious outcome vindicating our son, who was found not guilty. Joseph also challenged the automatic suspension of our son's license to operate by the registry because he refused to take a breathalyzer test and won, allowing our son to regain his license so he could drive to work and not jeopardize keeping his job. My husband and I recommend the high quality of his services to others and give our full endorsement of his qualifications.

Joe is a very honest man, he kept us in the loop every step of the way. He never gave us false hope or bad information. We would highly recommend him to anyone. Great guy and very knowledgable.

Nobody introduced me to Joe. He responded to my inquiry and most of our communication was via email. He assessed my case, laid out all the options and answered all the questions. On the day we were supposed to go to court and get a date for a jury trial, we ended up having a trial before a judge who found me not guilty of OUI in spite of a 0.08 BAC.

I recently spent two very stressful days in Woburn District Court at the trial of my son for a second OUI offense. A conviction would have had disastrous consequences for my son, his career, and for his young family. However, it was our good fortune to have been represented by Joseph Waldbaum who is, without much doubt, the best OUI defense attorney in the Commonwealth. Mr. Waldbaum's skill, professionalism, and extensive knowledge of the fine points of the law were all on display during this trial. He effectively countered the prosecuting attorney's arguments, cast doubt upon the testimony of witnesses through cross examination, and clearly explained the concept of reasonable doubt to the jury. It was a masterful performance. After deliberation, the jury returned a not guilty verdict. My son is now free to get on with his life. We owe a very great debt of gratitude to Joe Waldbaum and I would recommend him without hesitation to anyone who finds himself or herself in trouble with the law.

This was a 2nd OUI, and Joe was fantastic. He initially got the charges dismissed after several hearings, but informed me that the state had the right to re-instate them since it never went to trial. Sure enough, the state did a few months later. Joe again jumped into action, and we went to trial. He caught the officer in 2 lies during the trial, then gave a great closing statement, telling the jury that I was guilty of speeding, but not OUI. That's exactly what the jury came back with - guilty of speeding (a minor charge), and not guilty of OUI. I got my life back and can't thank Joe enough.

my daughters first oui and Attorney Waldbaum made her feel absolutely comfortable and confident that he would do all that he could to help her through this stressful time. He followed through on all counts and was able to get reduced all charges as promised. Attorney Waldbaum comes highly recommended and our thanks for his professional conduct. His follow up was excellent.

The best lawyer I had to ever deal with. Very experienced in the field and knows what he's talking about. I put my trust in Mr. Waldbaum and he didn't let me down, kept me updated with the case. Always made sure I knew the date was coming up, what court room, and what to do. If your fighting a OUI charge, call him! He got me off and that's not all... He even waived the last payment so I could go out and celebrate with a few friends, very nice guy!

Lazy. I hired Mr Waldbaum on a 1st offense OUI. He met me at the court house and told me to take a plea right away. He had a folder of pre fab directions as to what I need to do after court. I ended up on probation for a year and paying through the nose. I would have gotten the same deal with out him.
