Hi I'd be interested in speaking with you, I am a Mass WC atty. Since you were already paid benefits there is no staute re re-openiong claim- it can be done as long as you have evidence that you still hace a work related condition causing disability or need for treatment. Claim can and should be re-opened. I can be reached at 978-745-0914

Your attorney is in the best position to advise you on this.it may cost more to get an opinion from your doctor than it's worth. Check with your dr about 1% impairment

The wc insurer may argue the problem stems from the car accident; if you aggravated the injury at work and your doctor backs you up you should be entitled to wc benefits. Consult an atty who can advise you what the proper causation standard id in your state.

An experienced wc atty in your state can help you. If you can establishe that the reason you cannot work is due to your injury you should get wc benefits back. Also many states (not sure about Georgia) have provisions requiring someone being back to work for a specific period of time (not one day) in order to have wc benefits stopped. Also many staes have laws regarding being let go after an injury on the job. A wc atty in Georgia should be able to help you. Good luck
