Prior to founding Avvo, Mark was the Executive Vice President of Worldwide Corporate Affairs of InterActiveCorp Travel (IACT) and Expedia, Inc. He was also Expedia's first General Counsel. Mark's passion for helping consumers make better choices regarding legal professionals led to him being named one of Seattle's "Top 25 Innovators" by Seattle Business Magazine in 2007. Mark is also a frequent commentator on consumer issues, regularly appearing on programs such as ABC's “Good Morning America,” Fox Business's "America's Nightly Scoreboard," CNBC's "Power Lunch," CNN Money, and Dow Jones MarketWatch.
Mark received his law degree from George Washington University. He holds a degree in finance from Gonzaga University and serves on Gonzaga's Board of Regents.
Sendi oversees all product development, engineering, and IT operations.
Prior to joining Avvo, Sendi spent ten years with Expedia, Inc. and Microsoft Corporation in various development and managerial roles. Most recently, Sendi was the Senior Director of Development at Expedia. Prior to this, Sendi served as the Group Manager of Expedia's Hotel Systems Group where he oversaw all program management, development, and test teams for Expedia's highest revenue channel.
Sendi holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington.
Monica oversees finance and accounting at Avvo.Prior to joining Avvo, Monica spent seven years as Vice President Finance & Operations/CFO at Allrecipes.com, where she helped the company grow into the world’s largest digital food brand. Previously she held several senior finance roles at Getty Images, including positions in Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasury.
Monica earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance and an MBA from the University of Washington, and holds a Chartered Financial Analyst ® designation.
Josh is responsible for the company's business development, professional and government relations, and legal affairs. View Josh's Avvo Profile.
Prior to joining Avvo in October 2007, Josh was Director of Business Development for Clearwire, where he acquired new markets that expanded the wireless broadband company's market reach to include tens of millions of potential new customers. Previous to Clearwire, Josh was Vice President of Corporate Development at AT&T Wireless. Josh has also worked as General Counsel for Cellular One of San Francisco and as a litigation attorney.
Josh earned a J.D. from the University of California Hastings College of the Law and a bachelor's degree from the University of Oregon.
Leigh oversees Avvo's marketing, communications, and business unit management.
Prior to joining Avvo, Leigh spent a number of years at Marchex, a leading call advertising provider, most recently as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the company's Call Analytics business. She also directed public affairs for Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners during their campaign for a new ballpark, which is now Safeco Field.
Leigh is a graduate of the University of Washington.
Sachin oversees Avvo's product management and user experience.
Sachin has spent over 15 years in the internet business in various product, technical, and design roles. He started his career at Microsoft in the travel product group and arrived just in time to help with initial launch of Expedia.com. At Expedia, he helped drive efforts to put traveler itineraries onto mobile devices and to make their shopping path more dynamic.
Sachin holds dual degrees in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Washington.
Jason is responsible for sales and account management of all of Avvo's premium products and services.
Prior to joining Avvo in 2009, Jason held sales leadership positions with Adready and Jobster, as well as the successful public offerings of HouseValues, Primus, and The Network Group. While Vice President of Media Sales for Jobster, Jason utilized an exclusive partnership agreement to be one of the first companies to monetize Facebook. At HouseValues, Jason managed the launch of the Mortgage division and grew sales from $0 to $10 million in run rate within the first six months of existence.
Jason studied Business and Theatre Arts at California State University, Northridge.
