Responsibilities:

  • Perform a variety of generalist human resources activities in regards to company benefits, employee relations, company development and more.
  • Assist in the hiring process (post job descriptions, background screening, maintain correspondence with applicants, assist in reference checks, schedule interviews, etc.)
  • Manage personnel files, maintain and update personnel forms, checklists, etc.
  • Maintain company policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Support in new hire orientation the overall on-boarding process.
  • Assist with the research, design, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Process and coordinate necessary documentation for leaves of absence.
  • Administer benefits and the 401(k) Plan.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HRM or related field required or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential matters effectively and discreetly
  • Proven track record of being able to handle multiple priorities and effectively prioritize with limited supervision
  • Strong work ethic and a desire to achieve excellent results

Product Marketing Manager

Sr. Manager, Consumer Public Relations

Do you want to help craft the narrative that will lead a consumer category? Are you a creative communicator who enjoys developing unique ways to deliver your message? As the Senior Manager, Consumer PR, you will be responsible for creating innovative strategies to promote Avvo nationally through earned media channels, managing the execution of consumer PR campaigns, building meaningful relationships with consumer media, and securing media coverage for Avvo. You will develop and promote the story that communicates Avvo’s distinct value to consumers in the media. You will also be responsible for providing day-to-day direction to Avvo’s consumer PR agency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Champion Avvo benefits with local and national consumer media to place positive consumer stories in TV, radio, online and print outlets
  • Lead the development of messaging materials and press releases for local and national consumer PR campaigns and initiatives
  • Work with the social media manager to promote Avvo through social media channels
  • Opportunistically leverage current legal events and insert Avvo into the conversation
  • Stay abreast of trends important to our target audience and translate those trends into meaningful and creative consumer PR campaigns
  • Help define and defend the core consumer messages and act as internal communications steward
  • Produce and maintain a calendar of events and consumer outreach
  • Partner with social media, research, advertising, brand, email, acquisition, product, and sales teams to ensure optimum collaboration between channels and clear communication of Avvo’s key benefits to consumers

Job Requirements:

  • Experienced professional with 5-7 years in consumer PR – client-side consumer technology company experience preferred, agency-side experience a plus.
  • Proven record of leading creative PR campaigns and in placing stories in national and local consumer-focused media
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Established network of consumer media contacts and history of strong relationship building
  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment against tight deadlines and deliver results

Account Executive (Inside Sales Representative)

We are currently looking for stellar Inside Sales people to further develop our sales function. This position will grow Avvo’s product sales (advertising, websites, and software) markets and be a major contributor in building our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Heavy outbound calling to attorneys and legal firms.

Mobile Application Developer

We are looking for a Lead Mobile App Developer with a zeal for working with the latest mobile and web technologies in a collaborative team environment. In this role, you will build and lead our mobile development team to design, develop and create iOS and Android applications for new and existing Avvo products. You will work closely with Product Management, UX Design and other Engineering teams to seamlessly blend Avvo into the iOS and Android market.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development
  • 3+ years of professional mobile app development on iOS/Android (minimum 1 year of each)
  • History of shipping multiple apps (by yourself or on a small team)
  • Experience writing apps that communicate with server-side APIs
  • BS in Computer Science or related field highly preferred

Bonus Experience:

  • Experience building REST APIs in Ruby on Rails

Linux DevOps Engineer

The Linux DevOps Engineer will focus on enhancing the performance and reliability of our services with exceptional knowledge of web-service scaling best practices.
