Do contributor points affect my Avvo Rating?
No. Your contributor level and your Avvo Rating are two separate things. The 1–10 Avvo Rating is based on your professional background, while contributor points measure your community engagement and do not change your rating.
What is the Avvo Leaderboard?
The Avvo Leaderboard is a ranking of attorneys by contribution score, showcasing the lawyers who contribute the most to Avvo Q&A and guides. You can view weekly or all-time leaders and sort by practice area to see where you stand. There are 20 contributor levels, and as you earn points you advance to higher levels; your current level is visible on your Avvo profile and the Leaderboard.
What is the Avvo Top Contributor Award?
It's an annual badge tied to your contributor activity for that calendar year. Your all-time points and contributor level keep accumulating over time, but the Top Contributor Award is based on the points you earn in a single year and highlights to consumers that you consistently participate in the community and share information.
