Question

Same abuse after a divorce.

How can you get an attorney to keep your ex husband and his family out of your life? Can I be compensated for this by him rather than spending from my own income as he is the one who is doing this?

Also what implications can they face for harassment in texas and now abroad, i.e crossing borders and catching flights for pure fun.

What happens if he lies to authorities and police officers, lawyers etc by denying his abusive behaviour and after a divorce he wants to come back into my life to cause chaos. Surely you are under oath.

The issue is, it is causing lost time for me at work and driving my anxiety up, I have previously had to take medication and seek counseling as I suffer from panic attacks and his behavior always causes episodes of anxiety and it is impacting my psychological and mental well being.

Can an attorney make him pay towards some of these costs since he as a grown up man is choosing to misbehave. Also why do his parents have a say over my life? He lives with them but I dont. Why are they doing this for? If it is cultural how to use the law to tell them to stay in texas forever and away from me once and for all.

Thank you.

No attorney can keep a husband and his family out of an asker's life unless that attorney has deep connections to the local judiciary and can do magic in the courtroom. Spending income is how Americans get representation in an American courtroom. Each litigant pays his way unless there is a statute, a contract, or dilatory/vexatious behavior taking place. Court can be harassment and cross-border harassment can happen with impunity.

"Lying" to authorities is not what is happening. What the father is doing is triggering protective measures written into family law by the allegations he is making. These are not lies. These are ways the state government gets federal moment for the resolution of family issues in courts that throttle the federal money by the cases they hear.

Losing time from work and struggling with anxiety is what litigation is all about. Anxiety and stress comes with court as we are a nation of laws. One must choose one's mate with very extreme caution or else government steps in.

An attorney cannot make anyone pay anything except the money the attorney's client must pay the attorney. An attorney can file an action and possibly get a judgement or not. The father's extended family can impact on the asker just as the asker's extended family can impact on the father. We do not know why his extended family is doing something. We know the law as written interlopes into the family, and each state's laws are the same as those of any other.
