Please help! What documents to attach with I864 and DS269? Marital status question on I130 and DS260
Hi Lawyers and Attorneys,
I am a US citizen, petitioning for my mother to immigrate from foreign country to the United States. Our I-130 has already been approved, and I would like to ask for helping us prepare the I-864 and DS-260 forms.
Since I currently do not meet the income requirement, I will need a joint sponsor. I would like to ask:
What documents do I need to attach with i864 and DS260?
What documents does my mother need to send to me?
When I first submitted the I-130, I marked my marital status as “married” because I didn’t know that I was already divorced. Now that I know my correct status, can I update this information on the DS-260?
Below is the list of documents we currently have:
-Petitioner (myself) I-864 with attached documents:
2024 Tax Transcript / Wage & Income Transcript
-Joint Sponsor I-864:
2024, 2023, 2022 Tax Transcripts / Wage & Income Transcripts
Proof of U.S. Citizenship
Mortgage Statement
Utility Bill
- My Parent -DS-260:
Foreign Passport
Birth Certificate
Police Certificate
Marriage Certificate / Divorce Certificate
Foreign ID
Please let me know if I missed anything!
Thank you very much! .
