Question

I have court October 9th in I cannot afford an attorney at this time and I'm looking for a good public defender a DUI case

My court date is October 9th. I got into a fender bender with another person, both our faults. The cop said he smelled alcohol which I didn't realize. He asked me how much I had to drink. I said a couple beers and that was hours ago. Anyway, I still blew a 7.0 and it was two in the morning. I had just worked 12 hours and he still got me for a DUI on safe. I have a perfect driving record. I am almost 60 years old. I've never been in any trouble before and I just want this to either get a less charge of reckless driving but I do not want this on my record and I cannot afford an attorney. Please help

When you go to court you can apply for a public defender. You do not get a choice of whom defends you on this case it is whomever it assigned to your case.
