https://www.scramsystems.com/monitoring/scram-continuous-alcohol-monitoring/ I’m not sure that is the specific device in use in Idaho. SCRAM measures alcohol/metabolites excreted from pores. As long as you are not drinking, a person should not have a problem. A bartender could run into problems if alcohol spills in the monitoring area (ankle). There are also possible problems if the air in the vicinity of the device contains alcohol - that could easily happen in a bar setting where alcohol is being flung around or spilled or whatever. You should talk to your attorney about this. When you get the device installed, you might ask the tech about this problem. It sounds like you might be a better candidate for a portable breath testing device. Usually the judge would need to change their order to acommodate that. You really should contact your attorney because if they didn’t know about your employment, that could be a problem.

This is intended for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon. Legal problems are very fact-specific and anyone with a legal problem should consult with an attorney.
