Criminal Threat
Was at bar where a security guard got me in a rear naked choke and dragged me out the line to get back in. I was intoxicated and very upset, I might have said out loud the threat I was thinking. Due to the Bordeline incident in Thousand Oaks, one of the security guards called the police. I was apprehended and booked into Ventura County Jail. My Charges are for criminal Threats. I have no criminal background other than, a billy club incident that was dismissed, never had to show up for court for that specific incident. What are my chances of beating the case.
Nobody can give you "chances" on beating the charge but you definitely need a good lawyer to at least seek a reduction to a misdemeanor. Felony criminal threats is a "strike" under CA Three Strikes Law and it's best to avoid those. Consider attending some AA meetings to deal with your drinking problem.
