Can I get my old charges permanently removed from my record if I was wrongfully convicted ?
I was charged and convicted for a crime I did not commit it wasn't until later that I realized all the holes in my case I even have a charge on my record that shouldn't even be there my victims so they say even said in court I didn't do it I don't know what to do
There is no real legal avenue for record restriction on a felony conviction absent exigent circumstances such as post Pardon or retroactive first offender treatment. Disagreeing with your conviction does not merit a restriction or valid reason for relief. Record restrictions also don’t remove convictions they simply remove the record from public access. It sounds like you need to instead speak to an Attorney about any appeals you may be able to file and those available options related to overturning the sentence or seeking a new trial etc. An Appeals Attorney will be able to advise you on those issues and determine if you have a case based on a number of factors including timing. The only way to challenge a wrongful conviction is through an appeal. Once you’re convicted the law doesn’t allow for removal of the conviction for the reasons you’re stating based on issues at trial etc.
