William Rivera Álvarez

Attorney William Rivera Alvarez was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. There he obtained a Bachelor’s in Science in 2009. That same year he began his legal studies with the Interamerican University School of Law. There he participated in the Legal Aid Clinic and was part of the first student group of one of the Founders of the Innocence Project. Later, he obtained his License to practice law from the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and for the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico. He took personal injury claims against pharmaceutical companies for their liability in medical products. In 2018 he began his commercial legal practice with a focus on insurance contracts and claims related to damages from hurricanes and earthquakes. Furthermore, he has provided legal advice regarding the Emergency Use Authorization Act, the Public Readiness and Emergency Act, the Public Health Services Act, The Food, Drug and Cosmetics Act and Biologics License Application procedures among others.
