Wayne E. Brucar

Wayne did not appear to have read any documents I gave him thoroughly as whenever we discussed my case he seemed to know very little about it. I had to constantly remind him when and what I had provided him on the matter. I never saw him much during my court dates. Most of the time someone else showe...d up in his place. I was charged as guilty. I got another lawyer who got the judgement reversed.

Mr. Brucar has been the go to lawyer for my family, friends, and myself for 15-20 years. My X had a couple of DUIs. Mr. Brucar handled them most professionally with great results. We always knew what was going on in the cases. He has been there with legal assistance for felonies, misdemeanors, a...nd even traffic tickets. My family and friends always knew they had someone behind them when there were problems.

I hired him two weeks ago. From the get go he was presumptious and blamed me and my wife for making the case more difficult for him. He responded to our emails but was curt and critical as if we were wasting his time. He also mis-informed me of certain important matters that were countered by other l...awyers I had to consult with because I was not getting the clarify or confidence working with him. I hired another lawyer who pulled my court date two weeks ahead of schedule and got the case dismissed the next day. I lost my large retainer with Wayne eventhough he did not do full justice to earn it. Morally speaking and at least as a professional courtesy I thought he may return some money as he did not go to court even once but he declined the request. All he did was respond to a few emails and charged me in the thousands up front for it. His retainer agreement does not come with a performance or client dissatisfaction clause to make it prorated or fair. So be careful. Money appeared to be the first priority and clients last. Our family found Wayne Brucar when a speeding ticket in Illinois required a court appearance. Not having any prior experience with this sort of thing in the past, the situation was a source of much anxiety and uncertainty for all of us. During our first conversation with Mr. Brucar, we had many que...stions, which he took the time to answer completely and in terms we could understand. He explained the situation to us, talked about how we could/should go about addressing the case, and provided some much-needed reassurance and professional support. During the course of the time leading up to the court appearance, he kept in touch, answering our questions as they arose, making us confident in knowing we had a solid legal professional in our corner. A week before the court date, he was able to let us know that, as we'd all hoped from the beginning, he had been able to work with the prosecuting attorney to obtain a very favorable outcome. Mr. Brucar had told us up front that it's not always possible to get this accomplished in advance, but we were relieved that in our case, it worked out that way. On the day of the court appearance, we were relieved that Mr. Brucar was our attorney, as he was obviously a well-known, much-respected presence in the courtroom. His steady calmness and professionalism was reassuring and a great relief in an unfamiliar and very chaotic setting. Even though there were literally hundreds of people in traffic court that day, he told us that we'd get this taken care of and be on our way as quickly as possible, and he delivered on that statement. Our case was one of the very first ones handled, and we were in and out within a half hour, favorable outcome in hand. After we made our way out of the courtroom, Mr. Brucar took the time to explain the required follow-up paperwork. He was able to make a scary, very intimidating situation seem much less so. Mr. Brucar has a straightforward, no-nonsense approach that might at first seem a bit brusque, but he is a smart, competent, clearly well-respected legal pro who delivers the needed results with a minimum of fuss and anxiety. We felt that the retainer we paid up front was money well-invested, as it resulted in a great return. We would definitely recommend Mr. Brucar to our friends and acquaintances, and would use his services again ourselves (although we certainly hope to never have to!). We appreciate his professionalism and legal know-how, and thank him for a job well done!

I found Wayne to be extremely professional, very attentive and always prepared with my case.He treated me with patience and respect. I understand it is unusual to pay retainer in full at time of retaining but I felt he would not let me down. He also came highly recommended by another attorney,who sta...ted if he got a dui this is who he would retain.He answered my calls quickly and explained each phase of my case and options, I believe he got me the best scenario for my charges. I would absolutely recommend him to my peers and hopefully I will not need his professional services again but would not hesitate to call him.
